Power of Paint and its "Paint Greater Than Initiative" use art forms and therapeutic approaches to inspire and foster creativity in future generations. We focus on fostering artistic expression, leadership abilities, tolerance, community engagement, imagination, wellness, safety, and overall civic responsibilities. We work to remove barriers and limitations for our participants, develop prosocial behaviors and form lifelong bonds. Power of Paint and “Paint Greater Than Initiative” use some of their workshops to focus on violence prevention and reduction. By introducing art, therapy, and expression, participants learn effective ways to express emotions, cope, and change the narratives of their day-to-day experiences.
