I grew up in an environment where my elders were not able to encourage me to pursue art because they were busy teaching me how to survive the rugged streets of Brooklyn, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. My Nana and kindergarten teacher took interest in my artistic abilities. They would take me to museums, buy me sketch books, and proudly display my art work. I always felt proud to see my work on the refrigerator and display cases near the principal's office . The only thing equivalent to my love for art, is the desire to motivate and inspire others to follow their passion.
As one of the founders, my goal is to inspire and motivate others in the same ways.
My favorite thing to do is travel. I love airports; imagining where everyone is going and where I’ll be going next. A lot of my inspiration comes from places I’ve traveled. I use many different mediums, such as oils, acrylics, graphite, charcoals, and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style at Power of Paint in Philadelphia
